Ingredients
- Cooked Chicken - this is a really quick recipe that can be made using rotisserie chicken (or any homemade cooked chicken that has been finely chopped or shredded).
- Buffalo Sauce - the key to that signature buffalo chicken flavor. The best part of this recipe is that's it is made with common ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge. We always have a bottle of buffalo sauce in the fridge because it's so versatile for weeknight meals.
- Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese - we love the combination of the two cheeses. Mozzarella gives the dip it's signature stretchy cheese pull, whereas the cheddar cheese adds a nice sharp cheddar flavor that pairs perfect with the buffalo sauce. You can really use any cheeses you have on hand and any combination. If you like your dip really spicy you can even use a jalapeno Monterey jack cheese!
- Ranch Dressing - oh the great debate of ranch vs blue cheese for buffalo wings! We personally love the flavor of ranch in this dip but you can 100% swap the ranch for blue cheese if you prefer that. You can even cut the dip in half and make half with ranch and half with blue cheese..... let your guests settle the debate!
- Green Onions - baked into the dip and used for garnish for a fresh pop of color and flavor.
- Cream Cheese - the base of the dip. Be sure to use room temperature cream cheese or you will get an arm workout stirring the dip! Leave the cream cheese on the kitchen counter while you prep the remaining ingredients... or if you forget just microwave it for 15 seconds.
- Garlic Powder - usually we are team fresh garlic, but garlic powder is a safer route for dips as you don't want to give all your guests garlic breath! The garlic powder adds just the right amount of garlic flavor without needing to pass out mints during your party.

Tips for the Best Dip
- Filling - be sure that your cream cheese is at room temperature or else the filling will be very hard to mix together. While you prep all the ingredients for the recipe leave the cream cheese on the kitchen counter. Or you can place it on a microwave safe plate and heat for 15 seconds, or until slightly warm and soft to the touch.
- Flavor Variations - there are so many different ways to make this dip. We love the classic combo of just buffalo chicken. However, you can add in a few more ingredients to change up the flavor and keep the dip unique. For example, diced carrots, diced celery, finely diced red bell pepper, red onion, cooked bacon bits, or diced jalapenos.
- For Serving - this dip can be served with chips, crackers, carrot sticks, celery sticks, or bread to dip. It's a fun way to keep the dip unique each time you serve it, try serving it with something different to dip!
