Greek Dinner at Home
Ingredients
- Frozen Fries - store bought frozen French fries or homemade can be used. We love using frozen for a quick recipe. French fries with a crispy coating are even better for this recipe as they soak up all the sauces and feta cheese!
- Feta Cheese - the ultimate Greek cheese. The more crumbled feta the better!!
- Tzatziki Sauce
- Greek Yogurt - plain Greek yogurt is the base of tzatziki. You can use 2% for a thicker sauce or 0% for a thinner sauce.
- Cucumber and Salt - gives this sauce it's signature fresh flavor. Salt is added to the shredded cucumbers to draw out the water so that your sauce doesn't become watery.
- Lemon Juice - adds a fresh pop of lemon flavor.
- Dill - fresh or dried can be used, you can also omit this if you do not have it on hand.
- Garlic - makes everything better! Don't worry about an overpowering raw garlic flavor, the lemon juice and Greek yogurt cuts down the raw flavor.
- Spicy Garlic Mayonnaise
- Mayonnaise - for best results we recommend using mayo, but you can swap for Greek yogurt or Skyr.
- Paprika - gives the sauce a nice red color.
- Lemon Juice - adds a pop of tangy flavor to cut the spice.
- Hot Sauce - you can use any hot sauce you like, we love using sriracha!
- Cayenne Pepper - adds an extra kick of spice.
- Garlic - you can't have garlic mayo without the garlic!
- Salt and Pepper
