What is in Chicken Parmesan Sliders?
- Marinara Sauce - store bought or homemade marinara sauce can be used for this recipe. We love using a jar of good quality store bought sauce. We always have a jar of pasta sauce in our pantry for easy dinners.
- Cheese - we love to use provolone, mozzarella, or Havarti cheese... and the more cheese the better! You can use any sliced or shredded cheese you have in your fridge.
- Butter - the buns are topped with a homemade garlic butter to give them even more flavour.
- Parmesan - you cant' have chicken parmesan without the parmesan!
- Chicken Strips or Nuggets - for a shortcut recipe we use store bought chicken nuggets! You can find good quality chicken nuggets or strips at your local grocery store and they work great. Of course, you can also make homemade chicken strips, nuggets or cutlets for this recipe.
- Slider Buns - any slider buns or dinner rolls work great. If you can find brioche or Hawaiian sweet rolls they are especially delicious because they add a subtle sweetness to the dish.
- Garlic - we LOVE garlic! Garlic butter is brushed over the buns before they are baked.
- Basil and Parsley - adds a great flavor to the garlic butter for the buns.
