What is Jalapeno Popper Pull Apart Garlic Bread?
Pull apart garlic bread is made by slicing a loaf of bread partway through to create small sections of bread that are meant to be torn apart. You can cut off a section of the bread and then pull pieces apart. The bread is brushed with garlic butter and stuffed with cheese.
This jalapeno popper pull apart garlic bread features all the great flavors of jalapeno poppers. A cream cheese based spread is made with jalapenos, garlic, green onions, parmesan cheese, mozzarella and cheddar. This cheese mixture is stuffed into the slices of bread to create a melty garlic bread.
The bread is baked until all the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly toasted. This is a fun twist on garlic bread that you are sure to love!

What is in Jalapeno Popper Pull Apart Garlic Bread?
- Bread - I like to use a large crusty loaf of bread. You can use smaller loafs to make individual sized appetizers or you can even use a baguette.
- Garlic Butter - for a quicker recipe you can melt store bought garlic butter but making it at home is so easy. It's just melted butter mixed with minced garlic and parsley. For me, the more garlic the better so I like making my own garlic butter and adding a little extra garlic!
- Jalapeno - the star of every jalapeno popper! Don't worry about the spice level of the peppers, once the seeds are removed they are a mild pepper.
- Bacon - everything is better with bacon. This garlic bread is packed with bacon for a salty crunch!
- Cream Cheese - cream cheese is spread between the cuts in the bread. When the bread is baked the cream cheese does not fully melt. Instead it creates a creamy texture.
- Shredded Cheese - I like to use a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese with the cream cheese. This adds an extra layer of flavor and also makes the bread ooey-gooey!
- Parmesan - for an added pop of flavor I like to add parmesan cheese to the cheese mixture too.

Tips for the Best Jalapeno Popper Pull Apart Garlic Bread
- Cheese Mixture - be sure to use cream cheese that is at room temperature or it will be hard to mix and spread. You can leave the cream cheese out on the counter while you prepare the rest of the ingredients for the recipe. Or microwave the ½ brick of cream cheese for 15 seconds to soften it up a bit.
- Spice Level - jalapenos are a mild pepper once you remove the seeds. Instead of jalapenos you can also use green bell peppers for a similar flavor without any spice. If you want an extra jalapeno flavor instead of mozzarella cheese you can use a jalapeno Monterrey Jack, spicy Havarti cheese or pimento cheese!
