Star Ingredient

  • Clams is the secret ingredient to these tasty stuffed mushrooms. But don’t worry it does not add a fishy taste. It is a very subtle flavor and hint of sweetness.
  • Cheese is loaded into these stuffed mushrooms. A mix of parmesan and mozzarella for extra flavor

How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms:

It may seem daunting to make a filling and stuff mushrooms, but it’s actually just a few quick steps. The filling is mixed all together at the same time and then simply spooned into the mushroom caps.

Full Printable Recipe Card Below

1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the mushrooms in a single layer.

2 Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a dry paper towel to remove any debris. Do not wash the mushrooms in water, they will absorb all the water and be mushy. Remove the stems (save the stems and add to an omelet or other dish).

3 In a bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients and mix well until fully combined.

4 Add 1-2 spoons of the stuffing into each mushroom cap and place in the baking dish.

5 Drizzle melted butter over each mushroom. Cover the baking dish with foil.

6 Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender (or Air Fry for 10 minutes at 400°F).

7 Remove the foil from the baking dish. Sprinkle each mushroom with Mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven, uncovered, and bake until the cheese is melted.

8 Garnish the mushrooms with the parsley and parmesan cheese and serve.

And that’s it! Easy homemade stuffed mushrooms that taste just like… if not better… than Olive Garden!

Looking for More Easy Appetizers?

  • Crab Rangoons – one of my favorite appetizers! They are the perfect two bite (one bite when I’m really hungry) sweet and savory appetizer. Fried wontons filled with cream cheese, crab and green onion.
  • Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups – a crispy and creamy finger food perfect for game day! The filling is loaded with cheese, bacon, jalapenos and garlic. Baked in crispy wonton cups for a grab and go snack.
  • Pretzel Wrapped Hotdogs – just as delicious as the ones you get from the mall or carnival.  It’s easier than you think to make. This is a simple dough recipe, wrapped around the hot dogs, boiled, then baked.

Enjoy!

Thank you for this recipe! They were spot on. These are a family favorite and we were so happy to try this recipe last night. Delicious!!!! Olive Garden took their mushrooms off the menu when Covid began. I recently asked a manager if they were going to bring them back any time soon (now 2 years since they were removed). He said no. **I used 1/2 cup of melted butter IN the filling and the TBSP over the top once the mushrooms were filled. Not sure if that was right because both amounts of melted butter were listed under filling but they came out great so I will stick with it. :)
