Ingredients

- Jalapenos - we love jalapeno poppers! We've even made jalapeno popper mashed potatoes, taquitos, and wonton cups! These flavor packed peppers are on the mild side so you don't need to worry about them being overly spice. The rich and creamy filling also cuts the spice level down
- Brie - this gives the filling the most rich and creamy texture. Paired with cranberry sauce it's a fun festive combination!
- Cranberry Sauce - use homemade or store bought whole berry cranberry sauce, not jellied as it will be too watery.
- Prosciutto - this is perfect for jalapeno popper as it gets so crispy when baked. You could swap for bacon if you prefer.
- Cream Cheese - this is the classic cheese used for jalapeno poppers. It's rich, creamy, and oh so good!

- In a medium sized bowl combine the cream cheese, brie and cranberry sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- Cut the stems off the jalapeno peppers and slice in half lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and ribs (white lines that the seeds grow on). Fill each halved jalapeno with the cheese mixture.
- Carefully wrap a piece of prosciutto around each jalapeno and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Tips for the Best Poppers
- Filling - when preparing the cheese filling ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature (or you can microwave it on a plate for 15 seconds to soften it). You need it to be soft so that you can easily stir in the brie and cranberry sauce to get a smooth filing or else the cream cheese will be lumpy and will not evenly coat the brie. You want the brie to get an even coating of cream cheese so that it does not ooze out of the jalapeno popper when baking.
- Spice Level - jalapenos are a fairly mild pepper once the seeds and ribs (white lines that the seeds grow on) are removed. To ensure they are not overly spicy make sure you remove all the seed and ribs. If you prefer to make them spicier you can remove the seeds and leave the ribs. You can also use a spicy jalapeno cream cheese for added spice!
- Flavor Variations - we love the festive combination of cranberry and brie. However you can swap the cranberry sauce for fig jam, pepper jelly, apricot jam, or peach preserves. They all pair perfect with the prosciutto! You could also swap the prosciutto for bacon if you prefer. Just be sure to wrap the bacon tightly around each popper to evenly cover the cheese so it does not ooze out.
