Crispy Honey Garlic Beef is one of my go to dishes when ordering Chinese take out. This recipe is not only quick and simple, but incredibly delicious! Crispy strips of beef coated in a sweet and sticky honey garlic sauce. Your family will devour this recipe!
Slice steak into thin strips against the grain. Combine steak and steak marinade ingredients. Mix to combine. Marinate 10 minutes.
In a large pot or frying pan, on medium-high heat, heat oil to fry steak.
In a large bowl combine the sliced steak and corn starch. Toss to evenly coat.
Test if the oil is hot by placing the end of a wooden chopstick or spoon in the oil. If the oil bubbles around the stick the oil is ready. Prepare a plate with paper towel to drain the meat after frying.
When the oil is hot, use tongs to shake of the excess corn starch and fry the meat in batches. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain on the paper towel. Repeat until all meat is fried.
In a large frying pan add all of the sauce ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes, or until the sauce starts to thicken.
Add in the crispy beef and toss to coat the meat. Note: the sauce will thicken when the meat is added as it is coated in cornstarch.
Serve the beef over rice or noodles. Garnish with diced green onion and sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy!
